Sparkle this season: top high street highlighters

By  |

‘Tis the season to shimmer and sparkle.

It may only be November, but metallic trends are all over both fashion and beauty industry. Dull and dreary weather doesn’t necessarily have to mean dull and dreary skin.

Keeping your skin moisturised of course helps, but these affordable highlighters are perfect for that little extra sparkle.

Peach tones are often associated with warmer seasons, but this highlighter combines peachy and golden tones with shimmery paler shades. Soap and Glory are towards the top end of drugstore make up brands, but this product is very pigmented, so it’s perfectly justifiable. The shades work subtly on their own, but also look beautiful blended together.

Sleek is a great all-round make up brand, but this little kit is one of my personal favourites. Both of the products are subtle, but perfect for day-to-day wear. The product comes in light, medium and dark, which ensures the colours are matched to your skin tone.

Revolution, available at Superdrug, is certainly a bargain brand. This highlighter was only around £3, and it’s the most pigmented out of the three. This shade is definitely one to take you from day to night as it’s very shimmery. The pale pink colour catches the light perfectly.
