Must-have products: The Dewy Summer Look

By  |

Due to the current humidity, a thick layer of makeup is not advised, unless you want to sweat like you’ve never sweat before. This seasons must-have look that beauty bloggers have been raving about is the ‘dewy’ makeup look. A look that isn’t too heavy, but flawless all the same. I’ve found the perfect products to make this gorgeous look come to fruition, and it won’t completely break the bank.

Moisturiser: Lush ‘Imperialis’ – a wonderful mix of cocoa butter, tiger lily and orange flower cream which is suitable for all skin types. I’ve noticed my skin has been less dry after using this product, so I definitely recommend for those with dry patches! Worth the money, and lasts ages! (£13.95)

BB Cream: Maybelline Dream BB Fresh in ‘light’ – This stuff is a godsend! I was worried it would make my skin look greasy, but it creates a natural looking glow which conceals red patches naturally without caking it on! My skin never looked so smooth.

Concealer: Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer in ‘1 Fair’ – This value product is a favourite of many beauty bloggers all over the world. It’s got amazing coverage for such a cheap product, and the smallest amount goes a long way. (£4.19)

Blusher/Bronzer: BareMinerals Ready Color Boost – This compact blusher/bronzer makes getting ready in the morning so much quicker. It’s also got a highlighter to make your cheeks effortlessly glow. (£13.99)

Highlighter: Topshop ‘Mother of Pearl’ – This is honestly the best highlighter I’ve ever used. It completes the dewy look by making your skin glow. The pinky orange tinge to the colour means it maintains a natural look with a hint of shimmer. (£9.00)

Brows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Beauty Express – I recently purchased this product due to the fact my eyebrows needed some little TLC. It comes with an angled brush perfect for filling in brows with gaps like mine, and the product stays on perfectly due to the eyebrow wax that comes in the palette. You won’t regret buying this! (£29.00)

Another brow must have is the Benefit ‘Ready, Steady, Brow!’ shaping and setting brow gel. Perfect for the humid summer months when its easy for makeup to smudge or be rubbed off, it naturally keeps your brows perfect, retaining the added colour and shape. (£9.00)

Mascara: Maybelline Lash Sensational in Intense Black – I’ve been using this mascara for months and I love it so much. It’s brush has long bristles on one side, short on the other, so you can achieve a high volume look for the upper lashes whilst lightly coating the lower lashes, without the clumps! (£5.99)

Eyeshadow: Mac Amber Times Nine – This compact palette is my absolute favourite at the minute! Its small enough to be easily carried around in a small makeup bag, and the colours are to die for. Perfect for a natural dewy look. (£25)

Lips: Mac ‘Spirit’ – This colour is perfect for a natural dewy look, and stays on all day, whatever the weather. Need I say more? (£15.50)
