A firm favourite with students, online retailer ASOS has added yet another reason to visit their site with these ‘Made in England’ chunky boots. While UK-based shoemaking is always cool these can also be perfectly teamed with black denim to fully accentuate that camo pattern and set you up well for the upcoming winter moths. Add the Comme des Garçons t-shirt from last week to complete the look.
Knitted polo shirt, Penguin £80
We did 70s style last week and now it’s time to visit the 60s with this wonderfully retro polo from masters of the game Original Penguin. As easily team-able with jeans as with an unstructured blazer, this is sure to keep you comfy and looking sharp- what more could you ask for?
Cotton-cashmere sweatpants, The White Company, £85
We all know what you’re thinking with this one, “The White Company? Doesn’t that make bedding for middle-class couples with two kids?” Well put aside your prejudices and get ready to meet your new favourite pair of off-duty staples with these incredibly soft sweatpants. Made from a luxurious cotton-cashmere blend yet wearable with a pair of fresh trainers and chunky knitwear, this joggers will help you reach the ultimate goal of pyjama-level comfort you can wear on the streets.
Fair Isle sweater, J. Crew £120
A longtime exponent of quality menswear staples J. Crew have done it again with this seasonal Fair Isle jumper. A winter must-have, this particular piece sets itself apart with its eye-popping white and green pattern and soft alpaca blend knit. Layer over a button-down shirt for simple yet effective style.
Socks, Blue Blue Japan £15
A good pair of socks is not something every man wants to invest in but we found it too hard to resist these from Blue Blue Japan. A brand with a fantastic reputation for traditional craftsmanship these socks are made from a hard-wearing cotton blend and feature a large red spot as a nod to the brand’s heritage. Finished off with a cheeky ‘I’m from Japan. Arigato’ on the underside
