So, if anything like me you are a huge Christmas fanatic then I assume you have been waiting for December to come all year just so you can jam out to all of the best festive songs. I am such a lover of Christmas music- unlike everyday pop or rap music, the songs consume me and define the whole meaning of what Christmas is all about -setting the mood for the holidays.

From Rocking around the Christmas tree to Jingle Bell Rock. Here are our top 15 Christmas Songs that you’ve got to listen to before the big man comes!

  1.  “Last Christmas Wham!” George Michael 

Ok, you’d be lying if you haven’t cried at the music video for this song and it sure is a tear jerker. With the snowy backdrop and 80’s haircuts, it’s easy to see why this is an instant classic.

2. “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” Michael Bublé

So, with the frosty season upon us, it is finally time for Michael Bublé to defrost. His whole album is practically perfect with renditions of our favourite Christmas songs and his velvet voice gives a jazz feel to these traditional songs!

3. “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” Ella Fitzgerald

I actually love this song. You’ll be sat on Christmas Eve with a cup of hot chocolate itching for Christmas day to come.

4. “Winter Wonderland” Dean Martin

Now, this next song makes me want a blanket of snow to be on the ground immediately! With Dean Martin’s smooth voice and the upbeat nature of this song, it is easy to see why it makes you feel so festive!

5. “Santa Baby” Eartha Kitt

Heating up from our last song on this list is Eartha Kitt steamy Santa Baby. This song embodies every girls’ dream Wishlist of presents that any of us would die for!

6.“All I Want for Christmas Is You” Mariah Carey

Don’t lie you’ve sung this song nearly every year. But this pop song by Mariah Carey reminds us of all of our loved ones that we want to keep close to us this year. I know this one will be stuck in my head all of December. 2

7.“Rocking Around the Christmas Tree” Brenda Lee

I’m sure one Christmas or another you all have blasted this song out whilst dancing around your Christmas tree. So be sure to blast it out this Christmas!

8. “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!” Frank Sinatra

Oh, how I wish it would snow! This song’s upbeat tone makes us all want to feel that pinching frostbite. Defiantly gets us in the mood to wrap up in our big coats and woolly jumpers whilst making a snowman or have a snowball fight. Please let it snow!

9. “Santa Clause is coming to town” Jackson 5

Now this song takes me back. As a kid I remember always being extra good around Christmas just in case I didn’t get my presents! This 70’s version by Jackson 5 will have you singing at the top of your lungs.

10. “White Christmas” Bing Crosby

Now this song could lull anyone to sleep. Every year I wish for a white Christmas and being all cozy around the fire. Let’s hope this year is a white Christmas!

11.“It’s the most wonderful time of the year” Andy Williams

 Eating mince pies, chocolate and binge-watching Christmas films all December certainly makes it the most wonderful time of the year. 

12.“Driving Home for Christmas” Chris Rea

Now we’ve all sung this song at one time or another in the car (or hopefully in your head on public transport) whilst we hastily travel home from University for Christmas Break.

IT’S CHRISTMAS! Yes, we’ve all screamed that every Christmas. Don’t deny it!

14.“I wish it could be Christmas every day” Wizard

I agree if it could be Christmas everyday I would love It. Imagine. Eating your last chocolate on your advent calendar, opening presents and having Christmas dinner every day. What a dream!

15.“Jingle Bell Rock” Bobby Helms

Mean Girls. The first thing that comes to my mind. Enough said, in fact, I’m off to watch Mean Girls right now.
