Our fashion editor Millie Dexter is here every Monday to give us the lowdown on how to look effortlessly chic in this years lectures, so take a seat and grab your notebook.

Fur. Fur. Fur. (Faux of course). I’m talking fur scrunchies, fur key rings and fur beanie hats. Fur gillets, fur clutches and fur pelmet skirts. Fur scarfs, fur stoles and fur trims on our winter coats.

I’ve been excited about the comeback of the fur stole since the 2015 NYFW coverage. I love the decadence and sophistication of the stole; having spent many hours browsing, my ’steal’ stoles (ha ha) at the moment are the two tones or the colour-blocks. Stoles are all about the statement. The chunkier the better, the more outrageous the better.
If you’re looking for an autumnal shade, opt for a burgundy or a deep green. Team these with a (this season must have) A-line skirt, a pair of knee highs and a long sleeve high neck – colour blocking is everything this season so get your hands on Zara’s mustard tote too. If, like me, you prefer a softer hue – try a pastel colour stripe to compliment your pink lippy.
The fur stole is another lecture chic must have and there is one for each of you. It’s super cosy, super easy and it injects a little bit of colour into our otherwise monochrome wardrobe.
