Graduation Edit 2016

By  |

Yes, it’s that time of year once again. The pinnacle event in your three years of university life, where you have to spend months looking for that perfect dress that’s pretty enough yet sturdy enough to not reveal too much in a gust of Sheffield wind, and you have to try extremely hard to put the anxiety of repeating a meme style trip on the stage to the back of your mind. It’s graduation. Here, at LB we want to help you de-stress as much as we can, as after all it is meant to be the most enjoyable day of University, and we want to fight off the floral stereotypical dress. So we’ve countered in every weather/alcohol/robe clash problem to find you the top 3 graduation outfits.

1. Sophisticated stylistagrad

Dress- £48, Oasis

Shoes- £30,

Clutch- £28, Jane Norman

This royal blue pencil dress is subtle enough to avoid any clashes with a most likely oddly coloured robe. It’s simplicity is perfectly matched with some on-trend perspex heels (Yeezy, anyone?) and the jewels on this box clutch are enough bling to say celebration but not Carver Street on a Saturday here I come.

2. Summer glory2

Dress- £46,

Shoes- £65, Lipsy

Bag- £115, Diane von Furstenberg at

Okay, so we know this bag is pricey, but it is so worth it for a slice of versatile designer summer goodness. The bright colour pops against the elegant cut out lace style of this aptly length dress, and these chunky heels will prevent any mid stair trips whilst keeping you looking ultra feminine.

3. Ceremony to cocktails

Dress- £165, Warehouse

Shoes- £25, Charlotte Russe

Bag- £35,

It may look a bit too sultry for graduation but that’s exactly why we love it. If you want to stand out from the crowd, and avoid a dress change as you head out on the town afterwards, this look is just enough class with a little smidge of sexy.
