Celebrity look book: Jennifer Lawrence

By  |

The release of the The Hunger Games, Mockingjay: Part 2 has meant that Jennifer Lawrence has been fired back into the limelight. She’s ditched the braids for a classic long bob (or ‘lob’).

The ‘lob’ is very on trend at the moment with other celebs catching on and joining in. J-Law has ditched the warm tones and long waves for a blunt, platinum blonde style.

Those in fear of the ‘lob’ may say that it’s hard to style and therefore hard to pull off, but they couldn’t be more wrong. Take tips from Jennifer and keep the cut nice and blunt, as this adds volume to the hair. Also avoid layers as these are effectively a death wish for those of us with fine hair.

It’s only my opinion, but long bobs always look that little bit nicer with a wavy texture. This can be achieved by curling your hair with either straighteners or curlers, and then running a brush through the hair to loosen the curls, as ringlets are a no-no.

These TRESemmé curlers from Boots retail at just £20:

Salt spray is amazing for creating that beachy look, and again adds volume to the hair which is essential with shorter hair.

I recommend got2b Beach Matt Texturizing Salt Spray which is around £3 at Boots and Superdrug:
Obviously every look has to be finished with some hairspray, which can also be used to add further texture.

A cult classic is L’Oreal Paris Elnett Hairspray and it is really worth the money and the hype:
