Apparently this is the best way to survive your freshers’ week hangovers…

Speak to anyone and everyone and they will tell you what they use to help their hangovers after a heavy night of drinking and partying.

With freshers’ week only around the corner, here at Liberty Belle we have done some research (more like googling) into the best hangover cures to make sure you can make the long haul.

Whether you’re about to go to your first freshers’ week, or your third, you will want to make the most of it; and if you’re a bit of a party animal, you’ll want to be going out as much as possible all while avoiding the hangovers from hell.

Some swear by a bottle of Lucozade and a bacon sandwich, others will drink two pints of water before bed.

But, according to some Chinese researchers, Sprite is the best cure for a hangover.

A team of researchers from Sun Yat-Sen University in Guangzhou tested a range of  different herbal teas and carbonated drinks and found that Sprite came out on top.

Apparently it helps break down the harmful effects of drinking alcohol if drank post-night out, rather than speeding up the process like some drinks.

So make sure you’re well stocked up for when you go to uni!

Have you drank Sprite to help you stay away from a hangover? Did it work? Let us know!
